Tamari and Linda are childhood friends. They formed a partnership business together. Linda studied entrepreneurship at the University of Zimbabwe, where she acquired enterprising skills needed by an entrepreneur and also the roles of an entrepreneur in society.
After graduating Linda brought forward her knowledge of entrepreneurship to be implemented in running their partnership business. Due to availability of tamarind fruits in their community, they decided to start the manufacturing of tamarind soft drinks. The partnership managed to borrow money from the bank so that they can buy other resources needed to produce tamarind non-carbonated soft drinks.
Due to economic constraints in the country they did not operate profitably in the first year. They managed to get an overdraft and borrowed from friends so as to enter into foreign markets. Borrowing from friends was cheap because of no interest on the borrowed amount. Due to nutritional value of tamarind soft drinks, many countries are now interested in the drink and the two friends have decided to grow their enterprise into a private limited company.
