Natural Region II of Zimbabwe is used mainly for
Aextensive cattle ranching only, with no crop growing attempted anywhere on the farm
Bwildlife and forestry, because the rainfall is too low for any grazing animal
Cintensive cropping of maize, tobacco, soya beans and cotton, with dairy and beef
Dirrigated sugar cane and citrus, since the rainfall on its own grows nothing
Explanation: Natural Region II receives a reliable 750 to 1000 mm of rain in a fairly long season, so it carries intensive mixed farming. Flue cured tobacco, maize, soya beans, cotton and wheat under winter irrigation are grown there, alongside dairying, beef fattening and horticulture.
