Forests are important in Zimbabwe because they
Aprevent rain from ever falling on the cleared land that lies between them
Braise the temperature of the whole district during the coldest winter nights
Chold back all the water that would otherwise reach the rivers and the dams
Dsupply timber, fuelwood and fruit, protect the soil and shelter wildlife
Explanation: A forest is both a crop and a protection. It yields timber, poles, firewood, wild fruit, honey and browse, while its canopy breaks the force of the rain, its litter and roots hold the soil against erosion, and it gives food and cover to wildlife that earns tourist and hunting income.
