Explanation: CAMPFIRE hands the management of wildlife on communal land to the district and its wards, and the revenue from safari hunting and tourism concessions is shared back to them. That turns an animal that raids crops into an asset worth protecting, and the money has built clinics, schools and boreholes in districts with little other income.
