Marketing contributes directly to an enterprise's survival because it

Explanation: Every other function of the business is paid for out of sales, and sales come from customers who know about the product, want it and can buy it. Marketing is what turns output into revenue, and an enterprise that cannot sell what it makes will not survive however well it produces.
