Paper 1 · November 2021 · capabilities
An enterprise analyses its capabilities mainly in order to
Arecord the value of the machinery shown in its accounts.
Bidentify what it does well and where it needs to improve.
Ccalculate the amount of tax due on its trading profit.
Ddecide the wages that its competitors ought to be paying.
Explanation
A capability analysis compares what the enterprise can actually do with what the opportunity requires, so it shows which strengths can be built on and which gaps must be filled by training, recruitment or partnership. Tax, asset values and rivals' wages are matters for other exercises.
