Show your working on every question
ZIMSEC O Level Mathematics is a structured, short-answer paper, not multiple choice, and marks are commonly awarded for working, not only the final answer. Writing out full working also makes it possible to see exactly where a mistake happened, rather than just knowing the final answer was incorrect.
Paper 1 is done without a calculator; Paper 2 allows a non-programmable calculator and mathematical tables, and asks you to answer all of Section A plus a choice of questions from Section B, so knowing that structure ahead of time helps with pacing.
