In indigenous Zimbabwean society, what title is given to the leader of a single village, who keeps the village register and allocates land within it?

The village head, sabhuku in Shona and usobhuku in Ndebele, is the lowest rung of traditional authority. He keeps the register of households, allocates residential and arable plots inside the village and reports to the ward headman, who in turn answers to the chief.
